Public bug reported:

Just downloaded and installed gutsy tribe 3 on a santa rosa machine.
System can enter ACPI S3 state by clicking 'System -> Quit -> Suspend'
while it cannot restore from S3 state later. This happens on both i386
and x86_64 versions of tribe 3 and I even saw kernel panic for a few
times when restoring the system.

If I make the system enter S3 by executing 'echo "mem"
>/sys/power/state', system can restore later successfully. One minor
issue on x86_64 version of tribe 3 is that IP was lost and
NetworkManager failed to get IP reconfigured.

** Affects: Ubuntu
     Importance: Undecided
         Status: New
