Public bug reported: Just downloaded and installed gutsy tribe 3 on a santa rosa machine. System can enter ACPI S3 state by clicking 'System -> Quit -> Suspend' while it cannot restore from S3 state later. This happens on both i386 and x86_64 versions of tribe 3 and I even saw kernel panic for a few times when restoring the system.
If I make the system enter S3 by executing 'echo "mem" >/sys/power/state', system can restore later successfully. One minor issue on x86_64 version of tribe 3 is that IP was lost and NetworkManager failed to get IP reconfigured. ** Affects: Ubuntu Importance: Undecided Status: New -- Gutsy tribe 3 cannot restore from ACPI S3 state on Intel santa rosa platform https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/128194 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is the bug contact for Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
