I do not know exactly what do you mean with mic settings... In the sound control panel I have 2 slides for capture1 and capture2, and a chooser between Mic and Front Mic as input source (in options). I tried with various combination, but the evel of registration is eveytime very low (but there is some capture, I can hear it for example using skype callback). So I attach all the info requested in the DebuggindSoundProblems page.
By the way, is there a better way to test mic than using ekiga or skype callback?
