Public bug reported:

Restricted-manager should be a better software if it will include this
feature:

- when a restricted driver in needed and installed, R-M should give to
user the possibility to send a message (by e-mail) to manufacturer. This
message should be: "Dear (name of corporation, i.e. Dear ATI), I
installed your Linux proprietary driver for (name of periferic). I hope
you will release the next version as free/open source software, so the
driver can be better, more reliable, more debugged and "free" as in
"free speech" and in "free market". So, please consider this advantages
for you and for your costumers.

If you won't release the driver as free software, it is possible that I
decide to purchase by other manufacturer in future

Best regards,
Name, e-mail address"
