Hi, thanks for the comment. I tried the USB options just now, but they did not change anything at all.
Going through the other debug steps: I printed the first page of the attached Score_-_Con_Voce_Festiva.pdf and captured the output. The 'printout' created (also attached as 'print_job_data') is a PDF, and displays just fine in evince. Then I captured the data going to the printer (saved as 'data_to_printer'). It's an encapsulated postscript file. When I tried sending this printout to the printer (lp -d <queue> -oraw printout), I get the same error as I originally saw. 'gs data_to_printer' displays the file just fine though. Evince displayed it as well (once I renamed it to data_to_printer.eps). The psdebug option did not change anything at all. The final step, switching to pdftops, did work though. ** Attachment added: "Original pdf file." https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/cups/+bug/1072915/+attachment/3643272/+files/Score_-_Con_Voce_Festiva.pdf -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1072915 Title: brother hl-5240 problems after upgrade to quantal To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/cups/+bug/1072915/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
