Hi. During trying to change the hostname in the console with 'sudo
hostname daniel1' command and after re enable console (hostname is
changed), I can not open any application or edit any file (through
console), because of this error;
,-----[ hostname error ]
| No protocol specified
| Can't open display: %s
`-----
But if I return to the old hostname everything works. I've tried
everything: 'gksudo gedit /etc/hostname' command, edit '/etc/hosts' file
etc.
,----- [lsb_release -a ]
| No LSB modules are available.
| Distributor ID: Ubuntu
| Description: Ubuntu 12.04.2 LTS
| Release: 12.04
| Codename: precise
| -----
| hostname 3.06ubuntu1
`-----
Log files such as '/var/log/syslog', or '/var/log/kern.log' and
'.xsession.errors' does not contains any valuable informations.
Best regards.
