Same here in Ubuntu-Feisty server with kernel 2.6.20-15 and 2.6.20-16 First appeared with a RhineII (built-in) LAN adapter. I first thought it might be broken so I disabled it in Bios and replaced it with a Realtek (Ovislink-PCI card): 00:06.0 Ethernet controller: Realtek Semiconductor Co., Ltd. RTL-8139/8139C/8139C+ (rev 10) with same effect. /var/log/messages keeps repeating the following two lines: Jul 23 16:50 cat kernel: [3809.056450] eth1: link up, 100Mbps, full duplex, lpa 0x45E1 Jul 23 16:50 cat kernel: [3874.948719] NETDEV WATCHDOG: eth1: transmit timed out
it seems to happen especially during heavy use, like copying / compressing files over LAN. -- RTL-8029: NETDEV WATCHDOG: eth1: transmit timed out https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/87078 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is the bug contact for Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
