I've tested 3.9-rc6 build now. It is slightly more stable but still corrupts the display on launching the dash. Nouveau upstream expects me to run the latest code in their git (including DRM and other pieces of freedesktop.org). I'm afraid I don't have the time to mess with that. Running the latest kernel isn't enough to file a bug according to their wiki. If there is a PPA containing the latest nouveau stack, I might try that. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1158689 Title: nouveau and nvidia binary drivers are broken for GeForce 8400 GS To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/1158689/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
