I'm testing 3.5.0-27.47~lp1140716 a few days now (12.04.2, ThinkPad X220). It doesn't completely eliminate the hangups, but it is a *huge* improvement: - the hangups occur less frequent, around one or two per day - hangups are not fatal anymore, i.e. system recovers in a short time so that i even didn't notice them so far – had to look in the syslog for them
