>From usbmon log on comment #22, The flash drive is connected into one usb 2.0 bus, and doing writing operation. From the usbmon log, the average writing speed is about 4.700729MB from the statistics on 120KB data block transfer. Generally speaking, reading on usb flash drive is much faster than writing.
No obvious problem is found, and 4MB/sec is not very bad wrt. writing operation since nand flash erasing inside usb flash drive sometimes may take long to complete, see blow and you may find 1.7sec is taken to complete one time 120K transfer. ffff8801457a7440 590005237 S Bo:2:003:2 -115 122880 = 24105004 a941cd14 d16a114b 11cc053c d2459eb1 c8089d48 8a703613 0cbd95e5 ffff8801457a7440 591733922 C Bo:2:003:2 0 122880 > So looks it is a slow flash drive(common to see in market), not a problem on ubuntu or computer. You can test the same flash drive on windows for verification. Or you can buy one fast usb flash(such as, sandisk extreme usb 3.0 drive), but much expensive than common one.
