I confirm that disabling Firebug fixes the problem. I disabled Firebug, problem fixed. I enabled it again, the problem is still fixed (it's great that we don't have to restart the browser anymore to do that).
I investigated a little. I had Firebug 1.10.6 which I just learnt is only for Firefox up to 18. Unfortunately it never autoupdated. I removed it and downloaded version 1.11.2. I restarted Firefox to be sure to have a clean environment and the problem is still fixed. So it might be a matter of versions incompatibilities.
