Public bug reported:

I am running Ubuntu 12.04.

If I open a Terminal window ( CTRL-ALT-T)

Then right click on the Terminal window top bar - RIGHT-Click-Move to
Another workspace --Workspace 4

The window in 9 out of 10 times just stays there and doesnt move
immediately.

Now if I click CTRL-ALT-Right arrow to shift to the workspace I
intended to send the terminal to. The Terminal immediately dissapears
from the parent window.

So something about compiz or Unity makes the Terminal app - lag - when
moved to a different workspace.

Other apps do not show this lag under identical system load conditions

I can gladly provide more information
