Public bug reported: This package is built with a dependency on Tor. THIS IS AN ERROR. You sould be able to use onioncat with a Tor proxy installed on another system, so you must be allowed to install onioncat even without a local Tor.
Also, the Tor package description EXLICITLY says "uninstall me and install the recommended Tor Browser Bundle from the Tor website". One would expect to have the distribution's onioncat installed alongside the non-distro Tor Browser Bundle .tar.gz binary. This bug also affects the tor-geoipdb package. (And another option would be packaging the Tor Browser Bundle, instead of the Tor / Vidalia separate DEBs.) I am on Raring, but I believe this also happens on Quantal.
