@Carl - Dave is right - and I ran dist-upgrade just to check and I'm good. Thanks though!
@Dave - it seems as though it isn't necessarily related to crashes, and it isn't outputting anything to the terminal. I was able to successfully install a few packages (plus dependencies), then I went to the games section and tried to install some random games and it crashed there, too. I did gksu synaptic -d and gathered the output from there. If there's any other way to capture information, I can do that. Alternatively, I can try to duplicate this on a fresh install. I've attached screenshots and the output of gksu synaptic -d ** Attachment added: "gksu-synaptic.txt" https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/synaptic/+bug/1156453/+attachment/3581797/+files/gksu-synaptic.txt -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1156453 Title: Synaptic crashes after checking a few packages to install To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/synaptic/+bug/1156453/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
