Hi Robbie, Can you see if removing the quiet and splash boot options provided some additional information?
- Boot the machine. - During the BIOS screen, press the shift key and hold it down. You should see the GRUB menu after the BIOS loads. - Navigate to the kernel entry you want to boot, and press 'e'. - Then remove the quiet and splash keywords (found in the line starting with linux) ** Changed in: linux (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided => High ** Tags added: kernel-key ** Tags added: regression-update ** Changed in: linux (Ubuntu) Importance: High => Critical -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1154917 Title: Boot hang after initrd load To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/1154917/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
