I also downloaded raring 13.04 beta hoping the problem would have been addressed here, but it exhibits the same problem. Transfer slows then hangs and can't be killed. Back to 12.04lts. I have a box with Natty 11.04 and won't give it up. Light, stable, and FAST. Too bad I can't get support. All releases for 12 have been bloaty and slow (like windows) in my opinion, but I did find raring to be a bit quicker and a little more nimble. Thanks. Bud.
