I would like to get this fixed. I've packaged upower 0.9.19 for quantal in my PPA (https://launchpad.net/~plaxx/+archive/random-fixes) and installed it on my system. If it doesn't resolve it (i'll know in a couple of days), I intend to engage with upstream to try to find out exactly what is going on.
Thinkpad T420s w/ battery bay and am using bluetooth keyboard / mouse.
