As others have said this bug does not affect Kubuntu and Dolphin, and you can use Dolphin on Gnome Shell or Xfce and it works as expected. I have KDE installed in parallel with Gnome 3.6 and Xfce 4.10.
Other clues - It also appears to be an issue of the number of files being transferred, not the volume of data. I can copy sixteen gig when it is in 30 files, but any folder with hundreds or thousands of files will choke. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1075923 Title: nautilus hangs copying large directories from a samba share To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/gvfs/+bug/1075923/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
