I just tried to boot and install from the Raring daily build (downloaded
today) on my Acer Aspire One D260 Netbook. (onboard Broadcom 4313
Wirless card)

Before initialising the install, the wireless seemed to connect ok, but
by the second install screen 'Wireless' (first if you don't count the
'requirements' message) it was disconnected and the home wifi connection
could not be found on the list.

This was hampered by the touchpad suddenly not working and I had to try
and proceed with keyboard only.

I have had problems like this before with wirless since we installed BT
Infinity, the netbook could not find the home wireless (on channel 13)
on Ubuntu 12.04. The upgrade to 12.10 solved this. I also had exactly
the same issue with my Nokia N900 on Maemo 5 with no sim card installed
(defaults to US settings = No channels > 11) , identical behaviour in
both cases, plenty of the neighbouring wireless connections visible, but
without the home wirless visible (the only one in the district on
channel 13 to my knowledge)

issued $ iwlist eth1 frequency which listed 26 channels with
frequencies.

At that point I am at a loss, a netbook is no use without the 'net' and
the lack of touchpad makes it dificult to continue analysis.
