I have updated from 12.04 to 13.04. I then tried to install "System Load Indicator" from the software center. I then receive the error shown above. In fact I am unable to install any software at all. There seems to be two issues occurring.
1. I do not have the correct user permission to install software 2. The error described above. I have had issues with sound as well. I had to manually add my username to the audio group, which fixed my sound issue. I am curious if issue # 1 is caused by the same issue. ***SOLVED*** kinda If I launch the software center from a terminal using sudo I am able to install anything as usual. I however do not know which group I need to add my username to resole this issue without using the workaround.
