I have tested the kernel from: http://people.canonical.com/~arges/lp1107642/ and http://kernel.ubuntu.com/~kernel-ppa/mainline/daily/current/ I have with both these kernels no issues. I have a console and also can start x.
The only weird thing is that plymouth says it will load the i915 driver which i think is not the right one because the monitor is attached to the amd graphics adapter. if i disable the i915 driver it says loading radeon and also completes without issues. I have attached the dmesg and plymouth-debug log for the latest mainline kernel William van de Velde -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1107642 Title: Plymouth partly working on imac 12,1 with different results on 32bit and 64bit kernel To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/1107642/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
