Public bug reported: Observed behavior:
With the newest kernel (linux-image-3.2.0-38-generic), my laptop (Lenovo Thinkpad x230i) does not wake up from suspend properly. The computer seems to be on, but the screen is black (backlight on) and it does not respond to input. KDE does not finish the startup process and hangs at the last icon of the splash screen when I log in for the first time. Restarting kdm and logging in again helps. These errors do not occur when I boot with linux-image-3.2.0-37-generic. Expected behavior: Everything works the same as before with linux-image-3.2.0-38-generic. How to work around it: Use linux-image-3.2.0-37-generic for now.
