I'd have to uninstall the proprietary nvidia driver first and check whether that solves the problem. Unfortunately, last time I did that, after several rounds of installing, uninstalling, reinstalling and reconfiguring, the whole video driver subsystem was in such a mess that it was impossible to get any 3D graphics to run again; I had to reinstall the system. I'm a bit fearful to try that route again, because this machine is my day-to-day workhorse and a borked video configuration would ground me.
If there's a way to guarantee that the video configuration can be restored, I'm willing to give it some more tries. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1121333 Title: System lock-up with flashing caps lock key To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/1121333/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
