Testing Lubuntu Raring i386 20130211 I tried Claudio's suggestion of first using "swapoff" in many complex partitioning and multi-drive arrangements and it works :^)
Without using that workaround it fails if three operating systems exist on three primary partitions ............ it also extends to Window's craziness where part of the boot info exists in a separate partition, but not if you use a separate boot partition in Linux. I seem to recall something like this happening a long time ago so maybe Colin Watson will remember better than me.
