It seems from the backtrace that X is crashing while trying to query
your driver's XVideo capabilities. Does playing video work at all with
libxine? Programs that use libxine include totem (with the totem-xine
backend package) and the xine player itself. Can you use the open-
source "ati" drivers, and if so, does democracyplayer work with them?
