I've tested the functionality on 4.1.0.20 and it crashes nonetheless. Interesting facts. I stumbled upon the following thread
http://community.skype.com/t5/Linux/...ght/true#M3172 and using some rational found that if skype is launched with root like "gksudo skype" or "sudo skype", then not only interface is more elegant but file transfer function works as well. Now I can send the file no matter how big is the size. However, I don't want to run the skype with root privileges. Can someone find out any alternative to it.???? ** Changed in: skype (Ubuntu) Status: Incomplete => New -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1069618 Title: Skype App crashes when sending files To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/skype/+bug/1069618/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
