I am not so sure how I should undestand your question Joseph. I have had two fresh installed systems: One raring one quantal and both are affected.
In this case I have had for sure installed the linux-image and linux image-extra-packages(you do not different or releases, or?). Just for remembering you have yourself removed your testing request on manually installed kernels in https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/1085627/comments/5 and I also see that as not needed. The manually installation sudo apt-get install amd64-microcode solves the problem, even with prop. code (it is right?). In this sense you can undestand https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/1085627/comments/8 -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1085627 Title: AMD microcode failed to load To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/1085627/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
