Sorry, I just noticed you have an X1800. You should definitely remove the "options snd-hda-intel index=0 model=acer-aspire-7730g" line and restart alsa with this command: sudo alsa reload
Once that is complete, generate the updated alsa info and pulseaudio log: https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Audio/AlsaInfo https://wiki.ubuntu.com/PulseAudio/Log -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1104042 Title: [Aspire X1800, Realtek ALC888, Black Digital Out, HDMI] No sound at all To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/alsa-driver/+bug/1104042/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
