I have very similar problem. I have ubuntu 12.10 and installed Percona server. Then i tried to instsall kubundu-desktop and i got error that akonadi-server depends on mysql-server-core whitch cannot be installed. So i have left hanging with incomplete kubuntu. Is there anyway to force akonadi-server to use sqlite as dependency and mysql as suggested? Or can i somehow "tell" akonadi-server package that it can use percone mysql version?
