I am using Kubuntu 12.10, FF 18 I get only 4 FPS on this test http://webglsamples.googlecode.com/hg/aquarium/aquarium.html
For exact the same hardware, the tests under Windows 7 64 bit / firefox 32 bit perform constantly at least 10x faster (dual boot system) On a five year old NVidia with considerably slower CPU it's 12 FPS under Kubuntu 12.10, FF18 So no change here.
