This is only partly correct as this does not seem to work on Ubuntu >= 12.10. [1] Now I know that Ubuntu is not the only GNOME-based distro and Mozilla doesn't seem to be the one to blame for these particular difficulties, but I as a user of both Ubuntu and Firefox would love to see an implementation of this feature...
