** Description changed: Binary package hint: ubiquity Similar to LP: #438709. When a machine has 4 primary partitions, the option to dual-boot isn't shown, which confuses users, and is likely to result in unexpectedly wiping their existing installation. Quoting my comment on that bug: Also ran into this on an HP 620 laptop that shipped with 4 primary partitions. *I* saw the issue and laughed at HP's partition layout, but the student who came to me had no idea why it wouldn't let her do a dual-boot install. I have a suspicion that we'll be seeing more machines with that configuration before EFI takes over. + + <https://docs.google.com/a/canonical.com/document/d/1bZ4yQIVgGaUGSYu3qiUHnQt3ieBZoqunP_DcleHCr3I/edit#bookmark=id.35db66d9d3b3>: + "[if maximum primary partitions are in use] * Install Ubuntu inside + Windows ... * Replace {other OS} with Ubuntu ... * Something else"
