Confirmed locally that the patch fixes the white-screen-of-death problem on 12.10/quantal.
Is the upstream approval absolutely required here? The objection ("seems a bit simple...") is rather vague, and Alberts above has essentially shown that it is in fact one per screen anyway, making the objection even more dubious. Given that it impacts many users, and has been confimed as a workable fix many times independently, I don't see why it isn't simply added to the build and integrated locally, independent of the aged criticism from two years ago that blocked the patch. That would seem to be the pragmatic approach here. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/885989 Title: white screen on second monitor when using two xsessions To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/nautilus/+bug/885989/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
