apport information

** Description changed:

I would like to install Ubuntu to brand new Acer notebook computer, but
the Ubuntu 12.10 installation CD fails to get X-windows visible with EFI
BIOS. With legacy BIOS the booting works fine, but as I would like to
keep installed Windows 8 available in dual boot, I must install also the
  Ubuntu under EFI BIOS.

With UEFI BIOS activated, the Ubuntu 12.10 installation CD booting
starts fine with either burned CD or USB stick. The first obstacle is
the Optimus system with Intel HD 4000 and NVidia 650M graphics cards.
Trying to boot directly would only show black screen. Therefore I add
the 'nomodeset' option to command line. Then the CD boots to Linux all
the way, except for the X-windows, which never becomes visible. This is
most likely related to Optimus graphics card controlling. The red dots
under Ubuntu logo stops blinking after few minutes. I don't know how to
  get further.

I am willing to try other boot options and to provide further debugging
information if I get instructions on what to do. For now I cannot
provide even dmesg.txt or any other information about the boot process
because I can not log in to Linux. (These instructions do not help me:

- As there are plenty of variants of Acer laptops, I attach full
- description of my HW (and BIOS version) as collected from Windows.
