I'm also affected by this bug since ubuntu 10.04.. It's getting very annoying.. I have a Acer Aspire 5930g laptop, 3.5.0-21-generic kernel, ubuntu 12.10. Thing frustrating part is that after i get this message usually the computer won't pass the post screen, just like in this clip: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rndKUE_CzLs
