The status "fix committed" is incorrect as no package has been uploaded into 
ubuntu official archive to solve this problem.
The proposed patch needs to be converted into a debdiff, or a correct packaging 
branch merge proposal needs to be made with correct debian/changelog, etc.

This fix should land in Raring first (unless that is working correctly 
already), before landing in Quantal.
Please follow https://wiki.ubuntu.com/StableReleaseUpdates guidelines and 
update the bug report suitable for stable release update.
