Public bug reported: Hardware: Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Carbon Software: Xubuntu 12.10 x64
I have my laptop set up to suspend on closing the laptop lid. Upon opening it, sometimes (only twice so far total) the screen does not turn on correctly. I know that Xubuntu is still running, because when I re- close the lid, I see the expected changes in the suspend lights on the outside of the lid. In any case, this forced me to hard reboot the machine by pressing the power button for several seconds. I've had to do this once in the past, at which time I rebooted without any problems, and things worked as before. But this time, after starting up, the TrackPoint was no longer working. When I checked in the Xfce settings manager, the TrackPoint device was no longer included in the "Mouse and Touchpad" section of the settings. Only the touchpad is still there. I haven't rebooted the laptop since, so if there are any boot logs you want, let me know. ** Affects: linux (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: Incomplete -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1090608 Title: TrackPoint on ThinkPad X1 Carbon Not Working After Hard Reboot To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/1090608/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
