I can confirm this: for some performance tests that I suggested to run I have
-386 and -k7, but -386 was more recently installed.
I installed an update which regenerated only -386, although -k7 was running at
the time:
Unpacking replacement kubuntu-artwork-usplash ...
Setting up kubuntu-artwork-usplash (6.10-24) ...
update-initramfs: Generating /boot/initrd.img-2.6.17-6-386

[EMAIL PROTECTED]:~# uname -a
Linux sicilia 2.6.17-6-k7 #2 SMP Fri Aug 11 22:11:15 UTC 2006 i686 GNU/Linux

I believe there is a better way to do it... unless the -686 and -k7
kernels end up being removed altogether of course!
