Public bug reported: I have a java, socket based multi threaded server. It has been running for about 30 days now, on a EC2. There isn't any load on it, just about 50 socket requests a day. The EC2 is running Ubuntu 32 bit 12.04. I have not customized any java run time parameters.
If you need more information, please give me step by step instructions to get those to you. I'll actively support you to identify the root cause. # # A fatal error has been detected by the Java Runtime Environment: # # SIGSEGV (0xb) at pc=0xb773794f, pid=16783, tid=2975558464 # # JRE version: 6.0_24-b24 # Java VM: OpenJDK Client VM (20.0-b12 mixed mode, sharing linux-x86 ) # Derivative: IcedTea6 1.11.4 # Distribution: Ubuntu 12.04 LTS, package 6b24-1.11.4-1ubuntu0.12.04.1 # Problematic frame: # C [libc.so.6+0x13594f] getaliasbyname_r+0x970f # # An error report file with more information is saved as: # /home/ubuntu/hs_err_pid16783.log # # If you would like to submit a bug report, please include # instructions how to reproduce the bug and visit: # https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/openjdk-6/ # The crash happened outside the Java Virtual Machine in native code. # See problematic frame for where to report the bug. # ** Affects: openjdk-6 (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1089753 Title: Crash in JVM while running a server, after 30 days of uninterrupted run To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/openjdk-6/+bug/1089753/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
