** Description changed: I have a laptop with a touchpad and an external mouse. External mouse motion is ignored whenever a keyboard button is held down. This makes most computer games unplayable because you can't move and turn at the same time. The touchpad is not ignored and keeps working perfectly when a key is held down. Toggling "Disable touchpad while typing" in system settings does not have any effect. + This bug only happens if the mouse is plugged in when system is + starting. Removing and re-plugging the mouse makes the issue go away. + This seems to indicate that the error lies in the initialisation code. + ProblemType: Bug DistroRelease: Ubuntu 12.10 Package: xorg 1:7.7+1ubuntu4 ProcVersionSignature: Ubuntu 3.5.0-19.30-generic 3.5.7 Uname: Linux 3.5.0-19-generic x86_64 .tmp.unity.support.test.0: - + ApportVersion: 2.6.1-0ubuntu6 Architecture: amd64 CompizPlugins: [core, composite, opengl, compiztoolbox, decor, vpswitch, snap, mousepoll, resize, place, move, wall, grid, regex, imgpng, session, gnomecompat, animation, fade, unitymtgrabhandles, workarounds, scale, expo, ezoom, unityshell] CompositorRunning: compiz Date: Wed Nov 21 16:45:47 2012 DistUpgraded: 2012-08-06 14:07:28,394 DEBUG enabling apt cron job DistroCodename: quantal DistroVariant: ubuntu EcryptfsInUse: Yes ExtraDebuggingInterest: Yes GraphicsCard: - Intel Corporation 2nd Generation Core Processor Family Integrated Graphics Controller [8086:0126] (rev 09) (prog-if 00 [VGA controller]) - Subsystem: Apple Inc.
