In my case killing 'modprobe xfs' does not solve the problem. In fact, removing 'xfs' from 10filesystems makes it hang on 'modprobe jfs' (jfs being the one that comes after xfs normally), trying to repeatedly read from /sys/module/jfs/initstate
Also, I bumped into this problem by trying to run update-grub manually (rather than by trying to install a package). -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/711650 Title: package grub-pc 1.98-1ubuntu10 failed to install/upgrade: subprocess installed post-installation script returned error exit status 137 To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/grub2/+bug/711650/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
