Hi laurent, thanks for taking the time to file a bug report. Please make sure to *purge* all of the mariadb packages before trying to install mysql. The my.cnf file is owned by mariadb's common package, so when you install mysql-common, it tries to take over ownership of the file, and its already gone, so it assumes you *meant* to delete it.
Purge mariadb and mysql, then re-install, that should correct the issue. ** Changed in: mysql-5.5 (Ubuntu) Status: New => Invalid -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1080008 Title: package mysql-server-5.5 5.5.28-0ubuntu0.12.04.2 failed to install/upgrade: le sous-processus script post-installation installé a retourné une erreur de sortie d'état 1 | remove MariaDB and have some problem to install mysql after that To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/mysql-5.5/+bug/1080008/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
