Unfortunately the above parameters haven't alleviated the issue. It seems to be slightly better, but every third keystroke is lost still! The keyboard in question: Labtec Wireless Desktop Edge (PS/2) It types perfectly in Grub, so I can't see that it's a problem with the physical keyboard. That being said... I have put in fresh batteries and re-connected it to see if that would make any difference. No mention of Linux on the Labtec website that I could see.... I have tried many other 'keyboard models' (even those from other makers), but that only makes it less worse or more worse... I'm not sure that the same problem occurred when I was checking out the Live CD for the first time. I played with it on three occasions before installing it, but it only did this on the last two live sessions and the installed session. It's such a pity, because I am really impressed with Ubuntu, and would like to press on with it! :-\ Any other ideas?
