My hard drive is so shared: 1)ntfs -Windows XP - 70,85GB - sda1 2)vfat - Common data - 17,48 GB - sda2 3) - unallocated -35,34 GB Probably Fedora core new partition 4) Extended including: Linux Swap - 1,13GB Ubuntu 6.10 - 61,51GB - sda6 I've tried to mount manually sda1 by doing so in terminal: sudo mount /dev/sda1 /media/pippo # in fstab this is the dir linked to /dev/sda1 This is the output: [EMAIL PROTECTED]:~$ sudo mount /dev/sda1 /media/pippo Password: mount: wrong fs type, bad option, bad superblock on /dev/sda1, missing codepage or other error In some cases useful info is found in syslog - try dmesg | tail or so [EMAIL PROTECTED]:~$ dmesg | tail [17182869.048000] APIC error on CPU0: 40(40) [17182880.080000] Inbound IN=ppp0 OUT= MAC= SRC=202.97.238.204 DST=81.211.189.114 LEN=485 TOS=0x00 PREC=0x00 TTL=47 ID=0 DF PROTO=UDP SPT=56822 DPT=1026 LEN=465 [17182880.120000] Inbound IN=ppp0 OUT= MAC= SRC=202.97.238.204 DST=81.211.189.114 LEN=485 TOS=0x00 PREC=0x00 TTL=47 ID=0 DF PROTO=UDP SPT=56822 DPT=1027 LEN=465 [17183114.500000] Inbound IN=ppp0 OUT= MAC= SRC=221.208.208.100 DST=81.211.189.114 LEN=485 TOS=0x00 PREC=0x00 TTL=46 ID=0 DF PROTO=UDP SPT=53200 DPT=1027 LEN=465 [17183705.920000] APIC error on CPU0: 40(40) [17183843.496000] NTFS driver 2.1.27 [Flags: R/O MODULE].
