Public bug reported: The HP EliteBook 8540w which I am working on comes with several "tap"-keys to change sound volume, launch a browser/email-client and such, and switch the wireless adapter on or off.
When my screen is locked, all of these function keys are disabled, except the wlan key ProblemType: Bug DistroRelease: Ubuntu 12.04 Package: unity 5.16.0-0ubuntu1 ProcVersionSignature: Ubuntu 3.2.0-32.51-generic 3.2.30 Uname: Linux 3.2.0-32-generic x86_64 NonfreeKernelModules: nvidia ApportVersion: 2.0.1-0ubuntu15 Architecture: amd64 CompizPlugins: [core, composite, opengl, decor, place, vpswitch, workarounds, snap, regex, grid, gnomecompat, imgpng, unitymtgrabhandles, mousepoll, compiztoolbox, session, move, commands, resize, wall, expo, ezoom, fade, scale, unityshell] Date: Tue Nov 27 12:29:13 2012 InstallationMedia: Ubuntu 12.04 LTS "Precise Pangolin" - Release amd64 (20120425) MarkForUpload: True ProcEnviron: TERM=xterm PATH=(custom, no user) LANG=en_US.UTF-8 SHELL=/bin/bash SourcePackage: unity UpgradeStatus: No upgrade log present (probably fresh install) ** Affects: unity (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Tags: amd64 apport-bug precise running-unity -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1083538 Title: When the screen is locked, changing wlan0-status via special key is allowed To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/unity/+bug/1083538/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
