Public bug reported:

Steps to reproduce:
1. Open Dash without any windows visible (do it with only Desktop visible).
2. Move cursor fast along various elements and note performance.
3. Make e.g. Firefox visible with YouTube.com loaded and video playing. You can
try with other programs like Clementine player (its window) with music playing.
Music without activity won't do (e.g. Nautilus).
4. repeat step No. 1 and note performance drop. Performance drop also visible
per time it takes the Dash to close or open.

Expected behavior:
No visible performance drop.
