AMD-64, GA-880GMA-UD2H (gigabyte). I doubt this is a hardware specific problem.
3.5.0-17 kernel has the same problem. No information to the error in syslog the past 2 times. Sometimes I get the same output as in original bug post. Luckily only firefox files were fixed by fsck I'm fairly sure it started at some point in 12.04. It happens usually once or twice a week but sometimes twice a day (pc is on 16hours a day). I think you would have to test a kernel for a week to be sure. Unfortunately I removed most of the old kernels. I won't do that again. What can I do to get more info on this error? dmesg?
