It seems that even with CUPS Browsing re-introduced in Ubuntu, a "client-only" config (i.e. ServerName set in client.conf) does no longer work with CUPS "1.6+Browsing" in Ubuntu, see https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/cups/+bug/1069671
