Graham, thank you for testing the newest mainline kernel. Regarding your comments https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/1076776/comments/7 : >"Is the updated tag for me to action? If so, what range of kernels should I be >testing? (prior to 3.2.0-23)."
I'm sorry for not making a comment regarding my adding the needs-bisect tag, as I just recently moved from the NE USA to SW, and it has been quite hectic. Despite this, the needs-bisect tag is a tracker tag noting the commit causing the regression has not been identified yet. For more on this please see https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Bugs/Tags#Regression_specific . Due to how you tested kernel 3.2.0-23 in Quantal, but you said that this was not a problem in Precise environment, this bug seems correlated to something userspace related. One way to provide evidence towards this would be to test the Oneiric kernel in Quantal. Could you please do this via https://launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/3.0.0-12.20/+build/2829181 ? ** Changed in: linux (Ubuntu) Status: Confirmed => Incomplete -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1076776 Title: 12.10: Default background after logon To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/1076776/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
