This patch is much more intrusive as it needs to be. Please just apply the patch inline in the feisty version and do not switch to cdbs for a SRU. cdbs changes the build process drastically.
Also, please mention the SRU bug number in the changelog. Thirdly, https://launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/mga-vid/1.55-1.2 built fine in feisty, so there is no reason to do an SRU just to make it build again.
