Public bug reported:

I bought a Lenovo B575e and installed Ubuntu 12.04 (32 Bit) (before, i also
tried Ubuntu 12.10 (32 and 64 bit). Unfortunatley, it isn't possible to make
any changes in the brightness settings.
I tried to add "acpi_backlight=vendor" in grub, but then the info box in the
right corner doesn't appear, when i press the keys for changing the brightness.
